Book review: Twilight Graphic Novel

Today I'm reviewing the Twilight graphic novel (sorry I haven't posted in ages, school has been busy). This is an beautiful graphic novel with art and adaptions by Young Kim, the original book is by Stephanie Meyer.

The illustrations are done perfectly. I love how they use manga style art and they use colour well.

The illustrator also likes to hilight significant things with colour.

The main character is called Bella, she moves to Forks with her Dad since her Mother got remarried and her Stepfather has to move around a lot for his baseball career. Forks is a cold and wet trap for Bella but when she meets Edward her life changes and she begins to like Forks a little more.

This book is perfect for any romanticist and anyone that loves vampires!!! I have recommended it to everyone I know.

The normal comics are split into two, the New Moon graphic novel was never finished, only the first part was written. If you want the full Twilight graphic novel, get the collector's edition. It comes with the full comic and at the back there are a few pages about how Stephanie Meyer and Young Kim worked together on the character designs and how they were developed.

Even though the comic came before the film it's amazing how similar some of the characters are to the film and how similar some of the scenes are. It's truly amazing.

The graphic novel is very similar to the wonderfully well written book. It doesn't stray from the story. The atmosphere and tension while reading it is awesome.

》Genre: Romance, fantasy

》Stars ☆☆☆☆☆ (5/5)
