Book Review: Adam-2 by Alastair Chisholm

Here's my review for Adam-2, I did this review for mostly books as one of their youth ambassadors.

Adam-2 is unpredictable and full of surprises, it’s the perfect book for anyone who likes sci-fi or anything with robots in it. This book has made me feel so many unexpected emotions (ToT), you really grow to love the characters in it. I love how this book is set in dystopian Edinburgh.

For more than two hundred years the robot Adam-2 has been trapped in a basement until two children, Runa and Linden, discover him.

The war torn world Adam is thrown into is nothing like the safe world he remembers where robots and humans lived in harmony. Robots and humans are now enemies and fight against each other but Adam is different. Adam is cleverer than the other robots (the humans call them funks). The EMP blasts used to kill the funks only hurt Adam.

But when Adam is given access to the most powerful weapon that will destroy all funks and secure the humans victory which side will he take?

Adam-2 is by the publisher of Orion Lost. I would definitely not recommend this for younger children and if you don’t like war themed books you may not like some of the core themes of the story either.
